Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is located north of the Arctic Circle in the Lapland region of Finland. The park offers picturesque landscapes of ancient fells and forested hills amidst the cleanest air in the world.

Finland is the land of the midnight sun, a natural phenomenon during which the sun can be seen late into the night, and daylight can last for over two months during the summer, depending on latitude. On the other hand, there is the endless arctic night, a time when there is no daylight for an extended period during winter.

For those fortunate enough to visit Pallas-Yllästunturi between September and April, the Northern Lights may be seen swirling in clouds and streams of color on the arctic solar winds. Here the Aurora Borealis appears as flowing rivers of green and blue dancing across the sky.
